A letter written to Bill from a young girl on how her experience as being a camper and being a counselor has helped shaped the trajectory of her life...

Bill,

It was so nice to meet you this morning.

Camp Highland holds a very special place in my heart. In elementary school, I was a camper at the day camp. At the time, the camp was held at North Point Community Church. I loved spending my summers there, and my parents loved that I was having fun while being surrounded in a Christ-centered environment.

When I was 15, I applied for a counselor position at the day camp and spent my summer there. When I first started working at the camp, I thought that my primary goal was to lead and motivate the kids in my group. However, as the summer progressed, I realized that God brought me there for a greater purpose. Each week, the kids in my group inspired me to live better, be better, and not be afraid to let Christ’s light shine through me.

I am going into my senior year of college and my experience from Camp Highland still plays a role in my life today. Thank you for leading such an amazing Christ-centered organization!

Best,

Juliane
